July 28, 2013 Sunday!

Every student had their own activities with their host family.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Today is Sunday and it is a sunny day. We don't need to go to school, so we can have a good day with host family, which is actually our principal =3D]

In the afternoon, Adams took us to the shopping mall which is near to our home. Actually it is quite small and the things are quite expensive. Finally, host mum bought some fruits, and then we went home.

After that, host dad drove us to La Perouse to saw the beautiful views. When we walked around La Perouse, host dad told us that this is the most important place of Australia and told us some history about there. Finally, we took a lot of photos in there and saw the sunset before we were back.

We take this train back to the starting point.
---------------------------------------------------

It was a very beautiful and sunny day today. But we three guys, Torres, Nick and James were nearly late…It was because the train we usually got on weren’t in service this morning.

Luckily we weren’t late finally. And we caught a bus and took for 45 minutes to Featherdale Wildlife Park. It was a very nice place. We saw a lot of animals there, such as Kangaroos, Tasmania Devils, Koala and crocodiles. We touched Kangaroos and fed Kangaroos first time. Kangaroo’s faces were funny when kangaroos ate the food that we gave. They were very cute!!!

And we also saw bats here, too. Leaving Featherdale Wildlife Park, we continued our long bus trip. It was very boring. Hence, we slept a lot on the bus. One and a half hour passed, finally we arrived the Echo Point. There was a very nice view to see the sea and mountains. We took a lot of photos there. Then we moved to a garden to have a nice lunch, including hotdogs and kangaroo steaks… Yes, kangaroo steaks! We fed kangaroos two hours ago, and we ate them after two hours. I thought I’m quite cruel, although I didn’t think the steaks were delicious.

After lunch, we caught the bus again and exited in a famous tourist attraction at Australia, Three Sisters. There was a long about the history of Three Sisters. After that, we took a long walk down the Blue Mountain. The paths in the mountain were very hard to walk. I fell once. Luckily it didn’t hurt. We caught a train to go up the mountain at the end. A little bit scary, isn’t it? Finally we got back home by bus again. So tired… Oh, some boys like Vincent and Bobby made many Japanese friends today. The Japanese are mostly girls. I bet Vincent has got some girls’ mobile phone and Facebook already!

Vincent can't wait to enter the aquarium!

Bobby and the fish

We met some friends outside the aquarium.
-----------------------------------------------------
Today, we went to the Sydney Aquarium. We have stayed there for two hours .In there, we took lots of photos. When I arrived there, I saw a lot of different fishes and I thought it was too much. In the meantime, we saw some funny fish but the fish swam too fast, so that we couldn’t take them in a beautiful way. Although we just had two hours, we enjoyed it very much. Before we left, we bought some gifts. We both thought the things in there were very expensive, but we also bought some gifts to our family and our friends. We had taken many photos so we will share to our friends or family when we come back Hong Kong. We were so excited because we can learn more.

July 25, 2013 China Town and Bowling

Class activity: Getting directions oral practice

China Town: Time for shopping!

Bowling Time!

--------------------------------------------------

Today is quite a happy day because we went shopping and bowling today.
After the lesson in the morning, first we went to the Market City and China Town to do shopping. Janet bought 2 cups which with a print "I Love Sydney" and a kangaroo doll. And I bought a model of Sydney Opera House. Those souvenirs are really beautiful and cheap! We want to go there again and do more shopping.
After doing shopping, we went to the shopping mall to play bowling. That’s the first time for us to play bowling. So we did not really know what we need to do to let the bowling ball hit those bottles. Bowling is a quite interesting activity but the ball is too heavy for us, our hands became really painful after playing bowling. =[

Sydney Opera House

Pancakes on The Rocks
Yum!!

---------------------------------------------------------
Today, we went to The Rocks & Opera House.

First, we saw a three-dimensional model, it looked so real I can see models building of Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, as well as many places that we have been to these days.

Next, we went to Opera House, we could know more about this building’s history .The view of the ocean is awesome!
Then, we went to The Rocks to eat a pancake; it was very yummy yet expensive. If you have chance, you must eat it.
Finally, we took the train home. The train was different to Hong Kong, they are so complicated to us. So, we also thought this train in Australia was very interesting!
Hope you guys will have a chance to come here in the future, we promise you will like this place.
